Question

If a woman's mensural cycle ends before fajr of a voluntary fasting day and infact does not pray the fajr and eat suhur

due to sleep can the woman do ghusul and fast or not.

Answer

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

In the enquired situation, if a woman’s menstrual cycle ended before Fajr Salah, she may keep voluntary (Nafl) fast on that day even if she does not have Suhoor or did not perform Fajr. She will also have to make Qadhaa of Fajr Salaah and make Istighfaar for not performing Fajr Salah timeously.
