Question

Is it permissible to have an abortion? My wife needs to go for surgery and if she doesn’t have the surgery done she will die.

Answer

Whatever it is, abortion is another word for terminating life, and terminating life is another word for murder. Any person who is in his right frame of mind, can he ever think of killing his own child in cold blood without any valid reason?

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
