Eating horse meat

Question

I just want to know if pure horse meat is halaal as in Turkey people are eating it.

Answer

There are two reports of it being permissible and makrooh. It is better to abstain. If someone is eating then don't stop him.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
